The World Explorers Club is a fun, educational, and diverse club with students from around the world, including the United States. The purpose of the World Explorers Club is to promote support and understanding of the diverse cultures of the world as well as provide a supportive environment for new and returning international students.
International (students on an F-1 visa or born other than the United States are considered International) and American students are welcome to join. This diverse mix of cultures is a safe and relaxing place to make friends, be active on campus, get to know your community, and travel to discover local and nearby historical towns and scenic parts of Arizona.
The World Explorers Club: Something for everyone!
- Membership is open to all GateWay students (International and American)
- Meet, exchange, and learn about other cultures
- Get to know your new the community by volunteering for community and campus activities
- Learn and exchange tips about balancing academics, adapting to a USA college, dealing with homesickness, nutritional changes, and socializing.
- Enjoy, participate, or just listen during International Story Telling sessions
- Join us on our monthly trips to local free concerts, museums, international cinema/films, sports events.
- Join us on Discover Arizona trips visiting nearby historical towns and sight seeing scenic and beautiful Arizona .
- Join us on our Annual Spring Grand Canyon Trip
- Attend and participate at the Maricopa Community Colleges Governing Board Meetings
- Be a part of GateWay’s student leaders
